You can help the problem in Iraq. You can help by supporting unembedded independent reporting on the ground. Alive in Baghdad has brought that, and pledges to continue bringing it throughout 2006. Unfortunately, we canít do it without your help.
We need each reader of this site to donate at least $5, and to consider donating $5 every month until the conflict is over. If only 600 people donate $5 a month, we will have enough money to operate on the ground each month of 2006 in Baghdad.
Please donate more if you can. Your ablitiy to have unembedded reports from Iraq is directly incumbent on the willingness of Alive in Baghdad’s readers to support this project.
Where is my money going?
Brian Conley, independent filmmaker, has returned from Iraq where he was covering the situation in Iraq and focusing on the perspective of Iraqis living in Baghdad and refugees from Al Anbar province. Currently he is organizing speaking events around the United States. Donations directly fund Brian’s work and will be directed toward his eventual return to Baghdad. The sooner we are able to raise the necessary funds, the sooner he will return. We hope the project will continue reporting from Iraq within the next few months.

The Alive in Baghdad project is asking larger independent media outlets looking for original material from Iraq from independent journalists to consider donations to this cause. Your donation will place your organization on a list that will receive regular updates and priority status for interviews and footage.
